Wood + Ceramics: All of our wooden and ceramic goods are 100% handmade and as such, may show natural textures and ware.

Rugs: Our rugs are unique one-of-a-kind handmade items and as such, wear and signs of usage must be expected. We believe that this wear and imperfections add to the beauty, character and story of the piece!

Whilst we ensure all our pieces arrive in excellent condition, many of our products are handmade (and some vintage) - small signs of wear are to be expected.

For good maintenance of the rug, it is advisable to vacuum regularly. In the case of a stain it is best to try and remove it with a moist towel of warm water immediately instead of letting the stain dry. Lift as much as possible without rubbing. Always check for color fastness prior. Wool is also self-cleaning and if you have the possibility to hang or lay the carpet out in a fresh breeze occasionally, odors will disappear.

It is important to rotate your rug 180 degrees every 1-2 years to ensure an even wear.

Vacuuming + shaking out the rug regularly slows down the aging process.

Rugs can shed a bit of fluff, which is just excess fibers that were not properly incorporated into the yarn during hand spinning. This is normal, and is not a sign that your rug is falling apart! It is best to vacuum a rug often at first - after some time the fluffing will lessen and eventually cease.
